Gary Miller
Gary is the insurance agency Owner of The Miller Financial Group, a Veteran Owned Small Business VOSB representing the 3rd generation of the Miller Family, that has served in the insurance and risk management profession for over 103 years. Gary has led the agency since 2001, serving households and small businesses, educating clients on “How To” manage risk when facing uncertainty. The practice is in the historic Ft. Washington and Spring House area, 30 minutes from Valley Forge, in southeastern PA in Montgomery County. Situated in the local area are several leading firms such as Merck, Janssen, Lockheed Martin, Abington-Jefferson Health, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth Holdings and Quest Diagnostics.
Gary started his career in insurance over 43 years ago, joining his father Ray Miller, Jr.’s long standing insurance practice, which Ray established in 1948 out of his home in Germantown, PA. Gary’s Grandfather, Ray Miller, Sr. of Germantown, began his professional career in insurance in 1920, serving over 45 years with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co., beginning the Miller Family insurance tradition, now spanning 4 Miller generations.
In April 1954, Ray Jr. moved the agency to Jenkintown, PA across the street from the present–day Abington Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Gary’s daughter Anne, joined the agency in 2013, representing the 4th generation of the Miller Family serving in the insurance industry. The Miller Financial Group has been operating in Spring House since 1985, as an independent insurance agency, representing multiple insurance companies licensed in the states of PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, VA, NC, MA, CT, FL, TX, VT, DC & NE.
Gary graduated from West Point with a BS Engineering degree. Upon graduation he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Field Artillery, serving over 20 years with the US Army. Gary earned his MBA in Risk Management & Insurance from the Fox School of Business, Temple University, where he served as an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Risk, Insurance, Healthcare Management, a leading & nationally rank undergraduate Risk Management & Insurance program. Gary is a former member of the Dean’s Council, Fox School of Business, and has attained the professional insurance industry designation of a Certified Insurance Counselor, (CIC).
Gary authored an Amazon Best Seller, “Taming Chaos – a Parable on Decision Making,” complimented by “Taming Chaos – Workbook & Leaders Discussion Guide,” which was written to teach young teenagers “How To” make sound decisions when facing “Risk and Uncertainty.” His book had its public release at West Point in February 2017.
Gary has been an active voice within the insurance industry, serving with the Pennsylvania Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association (IIA&B), the PA professional insurance agent & broker’s trade association, as a member of the IIA&B Member Agents Panel MAP. Gary has also served as an expert witness on legal matters involving insurance agents professional liability Errors & Omission Claims litigation.
Gary is a past recipient of the Upper Dublin Township’s Citizen of the Year Award, a current member of the Upper Dublin High School Athletic Hall of Fame and a “stand out” athlete at West Point, playing football and baseball . Gary & his wife Carol continue to live in Upper Dublin, Montgomery County, PA having raised 3 children, married with 8 grandchildren.
Carol Miller
Carol has served as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent of The Miller Financial Group, owned and operated by the Miller family for over 103 years. Carol began her professional insurance career in 1982, leading and managing the agency’s household insurance practice of the Miller family’s independent insurance agency.
During Carol’s early professional insurance career, Carol was an executive assistant to Gary’s father Ray Miller, administering the preparation and issuance of contractor surety bonds for several of the agency’s clients that were active as subcontractors in the artisan construction and building trades.
Since 1985, The Miller Financial Group has been practicing in the historic Ft. Washington and Spring House area of Montgomery County. Situated in the local area are several leading firms such as Merck, Janssen J&J, Lockheed Martin, Abington- Jefferson Health, GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth Holdings and Quest Diagnostics. The agency is licensed in the states of PA, NY, DE, MD, NJ, VA, NC, MA, CT, TX, FL, NH, DC, VT & NE.
Born and raised at West Point, Carol & Gary met while Gary was a cadet at West Point. Carol and Gary married at West Point upon Gary’s graduation and commissioning in 1974. Gary represents the 3rd Miller generation. Gary’s Grandfather, Ray Miller, Sr. began his professional career in the Life Insurance Industry in 1920, serving over 45 years as a Career Life Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co.
Carol is a graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, OK earning her BA in 1978 with a teaching certification in secondary education. Their daughter Anne, represents the 4th generation & has been serving in the agency for the past 8 years, as the agency’s Director of Business Development and Social Media.
Carol has been very active in the community. While Gary was assigned for duty in Germany, serving in the US Army, Carol volunteered in their local parish as a lay CCD teacher from 1979 – 1981. Carol also volunteered to serve in leadership on the Parent Teacher Organization PTO during the elementary education of their 3 children in Upper School District from 1984 through 1993. While their 3 children were active in swimming & diving, Carol volunteered as a Swim Team Event Coordinator of the UD Aquatics Club during the academic year and as a Swim Team Parent Volunteer for the Sunny Willow Swim Club Swim Team during the summers.
Carol was as a Co-Chair of the Upper Dublin Community Day with her husband Gary in 1981, which continues today as a very successful community tradition of Upper Dublin Township. Carol and her husband Gary continue to live in Dresher, Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, PA where they raised their 3 children, all married with 8 grandchildren.
Warren Miller
Warren is the brother of Gary R. Miller, owner of The Miller Financial Group, that has served in the insurance and risk management profession for over 103 years and continues today serving households and small businesses, educating their clients on “How To” manage risk when facing “Risk & Uncertainty.” The practice is in the historic Ft. Warren’s Grandfather, Raymond H. Miller, Sr. began his professional career in 1920, serving over 45 years as a Career Life Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. In April 1954, Raymond H. Miller, Jr., Gary’s and Warren’s Dad, established an independent Property & Casualty P&C insurance agency in Jenkintown, PA, across the street from the present-day Abington Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The Miller Financial Group has been operating in Spring House since 1985. Warren joined The Miller Financial Group in 2023. Upon graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1984, he served on active duty with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and subsequently in the U.S. Army active reserves until 1992. Following his military service, Warren was employed with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. for over 32 years. Throughout his career within Air Products, Warren held a number of positions including Project Management, Project Development, Sales, and Business Management.
In 1996, Warren was presented with the Air Products Sales Achievement Award by Hap Wagner, Air Products’ Chairman and CEO. As a Business Manager within the Liquefied Natural Gas(LNG) mid-scale market from 2008-2023, Warren led all aspects of commercial marketing and product development, that set the stage for Air Products’ successful entries into both the China and Canadian LNG markets. Within the worldwide baseload LNG market, Warren successfully managed several major international oil and gas LNG accounts. Within the global LNG Industry, Warren also served as the Program Committee Secretary for the prestigious, triannual LNG Conference for two extremely effective conferences, LNG18 in Perth, Australia and LNG2019 in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China.
Warren was a successful track and field athlete at West Point. Now, Warren & his wife Jane, both working with The Miller Financial Group, reside in Macungie, PA having raised 3 children, with 7 grandchildren. As a young father, Warren was active in several local youth athletic associations (Lower Macungie and Emmaus), having coached their children in multiple sports. Warren and Jane continue to be active members of Bethany Church, where Warren served numerous leadership roles in teaching as well as being Chairman of the Church Administrative Council.
Jane Miller
Jane is the sister-in-law of Gary R. Miller, owner of The Miller Financial Group. She is married to Gary’s brother, Warren, who recently joined The Miller Financial Group. Jane has served as a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance agent for The Miller Financial Group since 2006. Jane is focused on serving the insurance needs of the agency’s household clientele – Home, Auto, Umbrella and related household risks that require insurance protection.

Growing up in Maple Glen, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Jane graduated from Upper Dublin High School in 1979 and subsequently from Rider University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Business Administration BA degree. Before entering the Insurance profession, Jane held positions as a bank teller and substitute schoolteacher, as well as the Director of the “Mother’s Morning Out” program and Preschool Director at her local Bethany Church in the Lehigh Valley in Macungie. Jane was active in her children’s school serving as Co-Director of “Market Day,” Treasurer of the high school volleyball team, Room Mother and Participant in various committees & volunteer positions during the early parenting days of raising their 3 children.
Jane remains an active member of Bethany Church in Macungie, PA and over the years has served in numerous volunteer roles to include Director of vacation bible school, Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Nominations, Hospitality and Mission Committees, currently serving on the Food Pantry & facilitating a Women’s bible study. Jane and Warren currently reside in Macungie, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, PA. They have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. Jane loves to bake and being a Nana.
Anne Slavin
Anne grew up in Upper Dublin and graduated from Upper Dublin High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware in 2005 and Master’s Degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 2007, recently serving as an Occupational Therapist to pediatric children for over 6 years.
Anne was licensed as a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer in 2014, and for the past 10 years, has been the Director of Business Development for her father’s insurance and risk management practice, The Miller Financial Group, a certified Veteran Owned Small Business VOSB. She represents the 4th Miller generation, which has served in the insurance profession for over 103 years.
Anne’s focus is offering professional counsel and advice to households and small business clients on “How To” properly protect against risks of loss while employing property and casualty insurance solutions.

Anne has been very active in the local community. Anne continues to volunteer in their local parish church, at their children’s elementary school in Methacton School District, and serve on the Board of Directors for their local swim club & youth athletic association.
Annie was a stand-out basketball player & Captain of her HS girls basketball team at Upper Dublin HS. She is the present Head Basketball Coach for the 12U girls with the Methacton Audubon Recreation Association, MARA. Anne is past Co-Chair of the MARA Golf Outing, a significant fund raiser, which supports the financial needs for the sports team’s annual visit to the MLB Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
Anne and her husband Adam, Principal of Upper Merion Middle School, live in Collegeville, Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, PA with their 3 children, Luke, Mackenna and Drew.
